Before you get started, here’s what you’ll need for your Spacetalk watch to work:
A smartphone — the parent, guardian or carer needs a smartphone to set up and manage the watch. The watch wearer doesn’t need one.
A subscription or plan for the watch — to work, the watch needs either a Spacetalk Watch Subscription (added in the app during pairing) or a Spacetalk mobile/wearable plan.
A SIM card — the watch needs a SIM for calling, messaging and location. In Australia, USA and UK a SIM is supplied with the watch; in other countries, use a nano SIM from your plan provider.
In Australia, USA & UK — watches are soft-locked to Spacetalk Mobile. To use another provider’s SIM you’ll pay an unlocking fee, and during pairing you can choose “my SIM is active” to continue. See Using a Different Mobile Provider on your Spacetalk Watch.
Once everything is set up, you manage the watch from the Spacetalk app on your smartphone.
Managing Spacetalk devices with the app
The Spacetalk app is your central hub. Through it you can:
Set up and change SIM plans (in countries with Spacetalk Mobile).
Set up and configure the watch.
Manage watch contacts and settings.
Monitor location and activity from your phone.
