Spacetalk watches are designed to work in the country they were purchased in. International use depends on your region and whether your watch is unlocked.
Important: Spacetalk watches purchased outside the USA/Canada market are not compatible with USA or Canadian networks (and vice versa), even after unlocking. This is due to different network band configurations between regions. Check your destination country's network compatibility before travelling.
By region
Australia
Spacetalk Mobile plans in Australia do not include international roaming. To use your watch overseas, you will need to unlock it and use a local SIM from your destination country.
Unlocking fee: AU$80
Once unlocked, the watch works in any country with compatible network bands using a suitable local SIM. Spacetalk App subscription charges still apply.

New Zealand
No unlocking required. Your New Zealand watch will work in any country with compatible network bands using a suitable SIM plan. Spacetalk App subscription charges still apply.

USA
Spacetalk Mobile SIM plans include roaming in Canada and Mexico at no extra cost. To use your watch outside these countries, you will need to unlock it and use a local SIM.
Unlocking fee: US$60
Once unlocked, the watch works in any country with compatible bands using a suitable SIM. Spacetalk App subscription charges still apply.
Note: Watches sold in the USA only work in USA, Canada, and Mexico — they cannot be used in other regions even after unlocking.
Canada
No unlocking required. Your Canadian watch will work in any country with compatible network bands using a suitable SIM plan. Spacetalk App subscription charges still apply.

UK
Spacetalk Mobile SIM plans in the UK include international roaming, however additional call charges may apply. Check with Spacetalk support for your destination country's rates before travelling.
To use a different provider's SIM internationally, you will need to unlock the watch first.

The Spacetalk Adventurer (all models) supports the following bands:
4G: B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B28
3G: B1, B5, B8
2G: 900/1800MHz (where GSM networks are available)
