Important Update: Your Spacetalk App Connection.
Following our major app launch in November, we were pleased to offer watch pairing and app access to all new users free of charge as a temporary introductory offer. This introductory offer is now coming to an end.
In April 2026, you need either an active Spacetalk Watch SIM Plan or App Watch Subscription, otherwise access to key features in the Spacetalk App will be restricted. An exact date will be confirmed closer to the time.
What features will be restricted?
If your connection isn't updated by the deadline, your watch will remain paired, but your app will enter a "Restricted" state. You will lose access to:
📍 Live Watch Location: Real-time location monitoring and location history.
💬 App Chat: Sending and receiving messages via the app.
⚙️ Watch Settings: Managing School Mode, Keyboard functions, and Contacts.
Important: Please do not un-pair your watch. Your device will stay linked to your account for 90 days, and all features will be restored immediately once a plan or subscription is active.
How to stay connected
Option 1: Move to a Spacetalk Watch SIM Plan (Recommended)
The best way to ensure a seamless experience is to switch to a Spacetalk Watch SIM Plan for the Spacetalk watch. These plans are specifically for our devices and include pairing with the app at no additional cost.

I live outside the AU, UK, or US. What should I do? You should continue using your local provider and purchase the standalone "App Watch" when prompted in the app.

Can I keep my existing watch number? Within Australia you can port a number over when activating your Spacetalk mobile plan.
No longer using the Spacetalk Watch
I no longer use my Spacetalk watch. How do I stop receiving these notifications? If you have stopped using your Spacetalk watch, to stop receiving these system updates and restriction notifications, you simply need to unpair the watch from your account in the app. See here for instructions.
Important: Please note that unpairing your device will remove the watch from your account and delete the associated data history for that device. If you ever decide to use the watch again in the future, you will need to complete the standard pairing process from scratch.
