Phase 1: The Hardware Swap
Power Off: Before opening the watch, hold down the power button and turn the watch completely OFF
Replacing the SIM: Please refer to these detailed instructions on replacing the SIM:
• Adventurer Watch
• Loop WatchPower On: Turn the watch back on. Wait for the signal bars to appear on the watch screen, indicating it has successfully connected to the network
Note: If you have ported you number to a new mobile network then there is nothing further to do. If your new SIM comes with a new number, please follow further instructions below.
Phase 2: Updating the App
Once the watch is back online, you must update the phone number in the app so that features like calling and messaging continue to work.
Open the Spacetalk App on your phone
Tap on the Profile icon (located in the bottom right of the menu)
Select the Member whose watch you have just updated
Tap on the Watch of the member to open the Watch Settings
Scroll down until you see Phone Number
Enter the new phone number and tap Update
You will see a confirmation message: "Phone number updated" once complete.
Important: Updating Your Phone Contacts
Updating the number in the Spacetalk app ensures the watch works correctly within the app ecosystem. However, you must also manually update the watch’s phone number in your personal mobile phone contacts.
Why? If you have the watch's number saved in your phone's address book (so you can call it directly from your phone's dialer), that contact entry will not update automatically.
Action: Please ensure every family member who has the watch's number saved in their personal contacts updates it to the new number to ensure they can still call the watch directly.
