How to Use Messaging and Calling Features on Your Mobile Device

With our Spacetalk app, you can easily stay connected with your child through messaging and calling. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to send SMS, chat messages, and make calls using our app.

Spacetalk devices support two primary communication modes: Chat (via mobile data or Wi-Fi) and SMS (via SIM card credit or plan).

Sending SMS

SMS messages are sent using the SIM card credit or plan available on the device.

To send an SMS, follow these simple steps:

  • Swipe right to left on the screen and tap 'Messages.'

  • Tap the orange '+' icon (top-right) to start a new message.

  • Choose a contact from the list.

  • Use pre-set messages, free-text, or emojis (swipe to switch keyboards).

  • Tap the send icon to send the message.

Sending Chat Messages (via mobile data)

Chat messages use mobile data or Wi-Fi instead of the traditional SMS network, enabling internet-based communication.

If you want to send chat messages using mobile data, follow the same steps as sending an SMS. Simply tap the 'Chat' icon and follow the steps mentioned above.

Unlike SMS, Chat messages do not use the SIM card’s credit but instead depend on internet connectivity.

  • Tap the 'Chat' icon and follow the same steps as sending an SMS.

For Adventurer 1&2: The device also supports receiving images sent via the app but does not allow sending images back.

Loop does not support receiving images.

Making a Call

To make a call using our app, follow these steps:

  • Swipe right to left until you see the 'Call' icon.

  • Tap it and select a contact from the approved list to place a call.

That's it! You can now easily stay connected with your loved ones through messaging and calling using our Spacetalk app.

Note: SMS requires an active SIM card plan.

  • For Adventurer 1&2: Spacetalk Mobile SIM does not support MMS. This means it does not support sending images. If you have a SIM in the watch that supports MMS, you will be able to send pictures.

  • Loop does not support sending any images.
