Set up your newly paired Spacetalk watch by tapping Start Setup in the Spacetalk App and following six steps. You can change these settings later in Watch Settings.
Who this is for: Parents who have just paired a Spacetalk watch to a Managed Member in the Spacetalk App.
Step 1: How do I set up Watch SOS contacts?
SOS contacts are the people your child's watch will call when the SOS button is pressed. The watch calls contacts in the order they appear on the list, starting from the top.
Note: If a contact's voicemail answers, the watch treats the voicemail as an answered call and will not continue calling the remaining contacts on the list.
To add an SOS contact, tap Add new SOS contact. You can choose from your existing watch contacts or create a custom contact. Custom contacts can include landlines, neighbours, relatives, or any number not already in your Space.
You can have up to 3 SOS contacts on the watch. To remove a contact, swipe left on their name in the SOS contact priority list.

Step 2: How do I set up School Mode?
School Mode silences the watch and turns off non-essential features during school hours so the watch does not distract your child in class. You can customise which features remain active, such as alarms.
Tap Add schedule to create a new recurring School Mode schedule. To edit an existing schedule, tap the arrow on the right of the schedule item.

Step 3: How do I set up alarms and battery warnings?
Alarms are reminders for your child's daily routines, set through the Spacetalk App.

Step 4: How do I set up Rewards? (Adventurer only)
The Rewards feature lets you set goals and reward your child's achievements directly in the Spacetalk App. Set up a reward, choose the number of stars needed to earn it, and create tasks your child can complete to earn stars.

Step 5: How do I set up preset messages?
Preset messages are custom messages your child can select and send quickly from their watch without typing a full message — for example, to let you know they are ready to be picked up.

Step 6: How do I set up the watch background and time format?
You can customise the watch face through the Spacetalk App. Select your preferred time format and tap Upload image to set a wallpaper from your phone's photo gallery. Tap Continue to save your changes.
