When you sign up to a new Spacetalk Mobile SIM plans, you can choose a new number or transfer an existing number to the new plan.
If you choose to transfer an existing number, you'll be asked some details about the number to port it across. This is for security purposes to prevent unauthorised transfer of your mobile number.
For seamless transfer, do not cancel your current service until after the porting is successfully completed.
Australia
To transfer your mobile number, you will need:
Name of your current service provider
Account number from your current provider
Date of birth of the account holder
You can usually find your account number on a recent bill or in your account details. Account number and date of birth must match your current provider's records, otherwise the port will fail. Check to make sure you use the correct details.
For example, if a family member created the account, it could be their date of birth listed on your current provider's records.

Porting Authorisation Code (PAC)
You will need a Porting Authorisation Code to transfer your existing number. A PAC is an alphanumeric code required to transfer your mobile number to a new network in the UK. The PAC code consists of 3 letters followed by 6 numbers (e.g., ABC123456).
To get a PAC, text 'PAC' to 65075.
Note that the PAC is only valid for 30 days after it is issued. So if you're not ready to activate your new SIM, wait until closer to the time to get your PAC.
