If you find that the watch is draining the battery fast, here are a few things that could be causing it.
Location Updates
The watch is set to update locations every 15 minutes. If you reduce this timeframe, this will use more battery power and drain your battery faster. You can edit the update interval in your Spacetalk App.
How to edit Location update intervals
Tap on the + Symbol on the bottom left corner of your Spacetalk App
Tap the watch which you want to update
Tap 'More'
Tap 'Location Updates'
Select your preferred location update interval.
Although shorter intervals gives you more accuracy, it will consume more battery power. Any interval less than 15 minutes will impact your battery life but if you have access to charge the watch throughout the day, this might not be an issue for you. Balance your need for more accuracy with battery consumption to make the right choice for you.
Watch Not Communicating with your Spacetalk App
Pair your watch
If you have not yet paired your watch, this could be a cause of the battery draining issue.
You have charged the watch and turned it on but have not completed the pairing process, you will find the battery draining faster than normal. This happens because the watch doesn't go into standby mode to conserve power but is waiting to be paired with the Spacetalk App. You should pair your watch to your Spacetalk account resolve the battery issue.
Non Working SIM
If your SIM is not communicating to the Spacetalk App, this could also cause the battery to drain faster than expected because the phone is constantly attempting to connect to the Spacetalk App.
Try these troubleshooting steps to check your SIM status:
Check that your SIM is active. Have you activated your SIM Plan for the watch?
Do you have good network coverage where the watch is located? Do you see signal bars in the watch?
Do you have enough credits in your SIM plan?
