Troubleshooting Charging Issues with Your Adventurer
If your Adventurer does not appear to be charging, don't worry! There are a few simple steps you can follow to get your device back up and running.
Step 1: Check the Charging Contacts
Sometimes, dirt or debris can build up on the charging contacts of your Adventurer and the dock. This can prevent proper charging. Check the contacts and make sure they are clean and in good condition. If not, gently clean the gold contacts with a dry cloth.
Step 2: Check the Charging Cradle
Make sure your Adventurer is properly seated on the charging cradle and that the cradle is not upside down. The four gold contacts on the cradle should line up with the four gold contacts on the back of your Adventurer.
Step 3: Check the USB Power Source
If the charging dock is connected to a USB power source, make sure the light on the dock is green. If there is no light, it could indicate a faulty USB power source or cable.
Step 4: Perform a Soft Reset
If none of the above steps have resolved the issue, try performing a soft reset. Hold down the power button for 20 seconds and then try charging your Adventurer again.
