The location history section of the Spacetalk App shows a day-by-day breakdown of your watch wearer's movements. If the history is missing or shows a gap, one of the following is usually the cause.
The watch was turned off or out of battery
If the watch was powered off or out of battery during the time in question, it could not communicate with the Spacetalk network and no location data was recorded. Make sure the watch is kept charged throughout the day.
The SIM ran out of data
Even with a full battery, the watch needs an active data connection to send its location. If the SIM's data allowance was exhausted, location updates could not be transmitted. Check your SIM plan to confirm the watch has data available.
For Australian Spacetalk Mobile customers: check your SIM usage in the Spacetalk App under Membership.
For USA and UK Spacetalk Mobile customers: check your usage in the Spacetalk Mobile Portal.
The SIM expired or was not active
If a payment was missed or the SIM reached its expiry date, the cellular service was disconnected and location logging stopped. Check your SIM status to confirm the plan is active.
Flight Mode was turned on
If the watch was in Flight Mode during the time in question, all wireless signals — including GPS and mobile data — were disabled. No location data can be recorded while Flight Mode is on. Check that Flight Mode is off by swiping to Settings on the watch.
