If you are planning to sell your Spacetalk watch or have purchased a watch that has been used by someone else, you will need to check a few things to make sure the watch can be set up painlessly.
Make sure watch is Unpaired from Seller's Account
When you purchase a watch that is not new, make sure you request the watch be un-paired by the seller. If the watch has been previously paired, you will not be able to pair the watch.
You will get this error:
For security and privacy reasons, a single device cannot be paired with multiple accounts simultaneously. The device must be unlinked from the original owner's account for successful pairing.
You should first try to contact the seller to unpair the watch from their account. Ask them to log in to their Spacetalk account, go to the device settings, and unlink the device. Confirm with them that the device is no longer associated with their account.
If you are unable to contact the seller, Support can help you unlink the account. We will require proof and verification that the device has transferred to you in order to do this so make sure you have copies of payment receipts or other records of the sale.
Get a SIM & Activate a Plan
The seller should have removed the SIM from the watch before handing it over to you. You will need a SIM and an active SIM plan in order to get the watch working.
For Australia, UK & USA:
Spacetalk SIM cards are sold exclusively through the official Spacetalk website. For availability, pricing, and to purchase a SIM card, visit the Spacetalk Shop.
