Before sending your watch for repair, you need to perform a factory reset to remove all personal data from the device. This protects your privacy in case the watch is lost in transit.
Important: A factory reset permanently deletes all data from the watch, including photos, messages, and audio files. These cannot be recovered after the repair. Back up anything you want to keep before resetting.
Step 1: Save any photos or videos you want to keep
Photos and videos taken on the watch can be sent via Chat to a Spacetalk App user, who can then save them directly to their phone's album. Do this before performing the factory reset.
Step 2: Find your IMEI number
You will need the last 4 digits of your IMEI number as the factory reset password.
On the watch: swipe down from the top of the screen, tap Settings > Information, then scroll down to find the IMEI.
On the watch box: the IMEI is printed on the label on the side of the box, just below the barcode.
Step 3: Factory reset the watch
Swipe down from the top of the watch screen.
Tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Factory Reset.
Enter the last 4 digits of your IMEI number as the password and confirm.
The watch will shut down and restart once the reset is complete.
After your repair
When your watch is returned, you will need to re-pair it with the Spacetalk App. Your previous settings can be restored, but photos, messages, and audio files cannot. See How do I pair my Spacetalk watch with the app?.
