How to Reset Your Watch

If you are experiencing issues with your watch, you may need to reboot or reset it. There are three different ways to reboot or reset your watch: power cycle, soft reboot or factory reset. In this article, we will explain how to perform these types of resets.

Power Cycle

This is the typical watch to turn off and on your Spacetalk watch.

  • Press and hold the power button on the back of the watch

  • Two options will appear on the screen for you to select: Power Off or Restart

  • Select the option you prefer

Soft Reboot

A soft reboot is a quick and easy way to turn your watch off and on again without losing any data. This is usually the first step to try when troubleshooting issues with your watch. This is also a handy trick if your watch screen stops responding to touch.

Soft reboots are safe since they don't erase data or settings on your watch, making it a preferred first step when dealing with minor issues.

To perform a soft reset, follow these steps:

  • Locate the power button on the back of your watch.

  • Press and hold the power button until the device vibrates.

  • Wait for the device to shut down and restart on its own.

Device-Specific Considerations

For Spacetalk Watch: Follow the general instructions as detailed above. Holding the power button until vibration is sufficient.

Factory Reset

If a soft reset does not resolve your issue, you may need to perform a factory reset. This will erase all data on your watch and require you to pair it again.

To perform a factory reset, follow these steps:

  • simply swipe down from the top of the screen,

  • press 'Settings',

  • scroll down and press 'Factory Reset', and

  • enter the last 4 digits of your watch's IMEI number (this can be found under 'Settings'>'Information' or on the box the watch was purchased in).

Your watch will then reset and you will need to pair it again with your device.

In summary, if you are experiencing issues with your watch, try a normal power cycle or soft reboot (if you can't press on the screen) first. If that does not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a factory reset. Remember to back up any important data before performing a factory reset, as it will erase all data on your watch.
