What to do if your Spacetalk watch is damaged

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Spacetalk Product Warranty and Repair Cost Policies

Spacetalk products, including Spacetalk watches, come with a limited manufacturer's warranty starting from the original date of purchase. This warranty provides coverage for manufacturing defects that may occur during normal use. If your Spacetalk watch is physically damaged, like the case is damaged or you have a broken screen, this may not be covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover damages due to misuse, accidental damage, or unauthorised repairs. Please retain proof of purchase as it may be required to validate the warranty period.

Repair is available for Australia, New Zealand, UK, Finland and Norway.

If your Spacetalk watch is physically damaged – such as a cracked outer casing or broken screen, this may not be covered under warranty. If this is the cause, repair is available for Australia, New Zealand, Finland and Norway. The cost of out of warranty repair will vary depending on the type of repair needed. We will send you a quote on the repair costs which gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like to go ahead with the repair.

To initiate this process, chat to our customer support team via the live chat available on our website. When doing so, please provide your proof of purchase as well as photos of the watch clearly showing the damage.

Before you send your device to our repairer, it’s important to make sure you’ve deleted any personal information from your device by performing a factory reset.

Prior to performing a factory reset, it’s important to transfer photos and videos from the watch you and your child would like to keep.

How to Keep Photos and Videos

Photos and videos taken by a Spacetalk Adventurer can be sent from the watch via chat to a Spacetalk app user, who can then save them directly to their phone album.

How to Perform a Factory Reset

To reset your watch:

1. Swipe down from the top of the watch screen to the bottom

2. Select the Settings icon

3. Scroll down and select Factory Reset

4. Enter the last 4 digits of your watch’s IMEI number (this can be found under the information menu in settings or on the box the watch was purchased in)

5. Once you’ve confirmed the factory reset, the watch will shut itself down and switch itself back on once complete
