How to Send Your Spacetalk Watch in for Repair
If your Spacetalk watch is physically damaged, like the broken straps or damaged case or screen is broken, and you need to send it in for repair, this would not be covered under warranty.
The cost of a non-warranty repair will vary depending on the type of repair needed. As a guide, the estimate for the broken screen repair will be $133.50. We will send you a quote on the repair costs. This gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like to go ahead with the repair.
Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process.
Step 1: Fill Out the RMA Form
In order to send your watch in for repair, you will need to fill out our Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form. This form can be found at the following link: https://spacetalk.auwarranty.com/. Please make sure to have your ticket number ready, as you will need to use it as your RMA number.
Step 2: Follow the Instructions in Your Email
After submitting the RMA form, you will receive an email with further instructions. You will also get email updates on the status of your device as it goes through the assessment and repair process.
Step 3: Decide if You Want to go Ahead with the Repair
We will provide you with a quote on the repair costs. We will wait for your approval before proceeding with the repairs. This gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like to go ahead with the repair or not. Instructions on how to proceed will be included in the repair quote.
Step 4: Perform a Factory Reset and Unpair Your Watch
Before sending in your watch for repair, we recommend performing a factory reset and unpairing it from your Spacetalk app for security purposes. To reset your watch:
simply swipe down from the top of the screen,
press 'Settings',
scroll down and press 'Factory Reset', and
enter the last 4 digits of your watch's IMEI number (this can be found under 'Settings'>'Information' or on the box the watch was purchased in).
To unpair your watch from your app:
go to the map screen of your app,
press the + in the bottom left corner,
select the watch you wish to unpair,
select 'More', scroll down and
press 'Remove Device'.
Step 5: Pair Your Watch Again After the Repair
Once your watch has been repaired and returned to you, you can pair it again with your app and select 'Restore Previous Settings'. Please note that you will not be able to restore images, messages, or audio files.
