You can add a kid while setting up your family, or at any time afterwards. Just tell us their name, age and device — Spacetalk sets up the right kind of account in the background based on their age and device.
Step 1: Add a kid
You can add a kid in a few different ways and moments in the app
During family setup, tap Add a Kid.
At any other time, from the Spaces screen tap the blue + button in the bottom-right corner, tap Add Member, then Invite a new member, and choose Add a Kid.
Step 2: Enter their details
In the drawer that slides up, add a photo (optional) and their name, set their age and choose their device: Watch or Mobile. The next step depends on what you choose and your kid’s age.
If your kid has a Spacetalk Watch
Tap Continue — you’ll pair the watch to their profile. If they have a Spacetalk SIM, their phone number is added automatically when you activate it, so there’s no number to enter. If you’re using a different SIM, you’ll enter their number manually. See Pair your Spacetalk Watch.
If your kid has a Mobile (under 13)
Enter their mobile number, or tap Select from Contacts to choose it from your address book. Tap Continue. We’ll set up their account and send a setup link to their device by SMS so they can get started.
If your kid has a Mobile (13 or over)
Enter their mobile number or select it from your contacts, and tap Continue. We’ll send them an SMS invitation — when they tap the link, they set up their own account and join your family.
