All Spacetalk watches have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating. This means the watch is protected against splashes and brief light water exposure — such as handwashing and rain — but is not designed for swimming, bathing, or submersion.
Important: Water resistance can be reduced over time by drops, impacts, and repeated removal and insertion of the SIM tray. The IP67 rating is based on laboratory test conditions and results may vary in real-world use.
What IP67 means
IP67 certification means the watch has been tested to withstand:
Dust — fully protected against dust ingress
Water — submersion in up to 1 metre of fresh water for up to 30 minutes under controlled conditions (15–35°C, 86–106kPa)
What to avoid
Do not expose your Spacetalk watch to any of the following:
Swimming pools, the ocean, or any salt water
Soaps, shampoos, chlorine, or other liquid chemicals
Hot springs or spa water
Water deeper than 1 metre
Water exposure for longer than 30 minutes at a time
High-pressure water (such as near a tap or shower head)
Sand or mud directly on the watch
Drops or physical shocks
Note: The watch is only water resistant when the SIM card tray is correctly inserted and the seal is intact. Do not open or close the SIM tray when the watch is wet or submerged. Do not damage the rubber seal inside the tray — this prevents moisture from entering the watch.
After the watch gets wet
Wipe the microphone, speaker, and charging contacts with a dry, soft cloth before use.
Allow the watch and your hands to dry completely before handling the SIM tray.
Do not use the touch screen while the watch is wet — features may not work properly until it is dry.
Liquid Damage Indicator
The watch contains a Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) inside the device that changes colour if exposed to liquid beyond its rating. If the LDI has changed colour, the watch may no longer be eligible for free repair under the limited warranty.
Important: Failure to follow the care guidelines above may invalidate your device's limited warranty.
