Set up the Spacetalk watch your way in the Spacetalk App. Choose location, messaging, contacts, personalisation and watch settings, like Find my Device, School Mode and Watch Face.
Who this is for: Parents and carers who manage a kid's Spacetalk watch in the Spacetalk App. Video calls, Rewards, Funny Sounds and Feelings are on the Spacetalk Adventurer only.
Location settings
Setting | What it does |
Find my Device | Sounds a loud alarm and vibrates the watch to help you locate the watch if it goes missing. |
Location History | View the watch's location over a set date and time range. See Access your Location History. |
Location Updates | Change how frequently you receive location updates from the watch. See Using Location Awareness. |
Messaging settings
Setting | What it does |
Preset Messages | Create quick-select messages for your child to send from the watch. See Set up Preset Messages. |
Keyboard Settings | Toggle the free-text keyboard on or off, allowing the watch wearer to type their own messages. |
Allow Device Video Calls | Toggle video calling on or off for the watch. |
Watch contacts
Watch Contacts shows all the contacts from the Spaces the Managed Member belongs to. For more information see Members and account types in your Space and Join a Space.
Personalisation
Setting | What it does |
Rewards | Set up Rewards for your child — set goals and let them earn stars for completing tasks. See Using Rewards. |
Watch Face | Upload a custom background from your phone's gallery and change the clock display. |
Funny Sounds | Toggle Funny Sounds on or off. Funny Sounds can be toggled at any time, not just during School Mode. |
Feelings | Enable or disable the Feelings feature, which lets your child log how they are feeling throughout the day so you can check in on their emotional wellbeing. |

Setting | What it does |
Phone Number | Update the watch's phone number if the SIM has been changed. See Changing watch phone number. |
Alarms and Alerts | Set custom alarms and alerts for the watch. See Set up Alarms. |
Call Settings | Allow or block video calls and unknown calls and messages to the watch. |
School Mode | Set up School Mode to keep the watch distraction-free during school hours. See Set up School Mode. |
Battery Management | Set up battery alerts so you know when to charge the watch. See Check the Watch Battery Level. |
Enable Wear Detection | Receive notifications when the watch is put on or taken off. |
