What is School Mode?
Set up School Mode so that the watch does not become a distraction when worn during school. When in School Mode, Spacetalk watch just tells the time and other functions will be disabled. During School Mode, parents have complete control and can choose to selectively enable or disable features. For example, parents may choose to enable the step counter feature, while disabling the ability to make and receive calls. There is no risk of classroom distractions because Spacetalk is silent in School Mode.
How do I set up School Mode?
You can set up School Mode after you’ve paired your watch. During configuration, you will be asked to set up your watch. School Mode will be step 2 of the 6 steps during set up. If you missed this or want to change the settings later, follow the below steps.
Step 1: Go to Watch settings
You can access School Mode settings in your paired Watch settings.
Select ‘Profile’ on the bottom right menu
Select the Managed Member that has the watch
In the Managed Member’s profile, select the member watch.
In Watch settings, select ‘School mode’.
Step 2: Activate & Edit School Mode
If you haven’t set up School Mode, toggle on School Mode.
Edit the School Mode schedule by selecting days and time of when you want School Mode to be active.
Schedule suggestions for School Mode:
School time,
Tutorial sessions,
Sports time,
Homework time,
Anytime watch wearer needs to focus
Only Send location is active by default in School Mode.
You can also edit which features you want to allow during School Mode by toggling on/off the settings for each feature.
How do I know School Mode is active on my Spacetalk Kids?
When School Mode is active on Spacetalk watch, two pencils will appear in the top right corner of the clock screen.
