How do I use the Spacetalk Life seniors watch?

An overview of fall detection, Medical ID, SOS, and location features on the Spacetalk Life watch.

This article covers the key safety and health features of the Spacetalk Life watch.

Fall detection and Medical ID

The Spacetalk Life has built-in fall detection. During the watch pairing process, you will be asked a series of questions about the watch wearer — these answers set the fall detection sensitivity to the recommended level and pre-fill the Medical ID.

Note: You can adjust the fall detection sensitivity and Medical ID information at any time in the Spacetalk App.

When a fall is detected, the wearer has 30 seconds to confirm they are okay before the watch begins to connect them with help.

The Medical ID is displayed on the watch screen during an emergency, so anyone who arrives to assist can see the wearer's key health information.

Important: Spacetalk Life is a consumer general wellness device, not a certified medical device. Fall detection does not detect 100% of falls. If able, the wearer should always press the SOS button when they need assistance. Spacetalk is not intended to replace a caregiver or medical attention. The information provided in the Spacetalk App is not a substitute for proper medical or professional care.

SOS button

In an emergency, pressing the SOS button instantly alerts your trusted contacts with a notification that includes the wearer's location.

Location requests

An app user can request the watch's location on demand. The watch wearer receives a notification and can choose whether to share their location:

  • If the wearer accepts the request, their location is shared with the app user.

  • If the wearer declines the request, no location is shared.

  • If the wearer takes no action, the app user receives a location update automatically.
