Why is my Spacetalk Adventurer or Adventurer 2 not charging?

Troubleshooting steps to fix charging issues with the Spacetalk Adventurer.

Get your Spacetalk Adventurer or Adventurer 2 charging again by working through four checks in order. Clean the gold contacts, seat the watch on the dock, check the USB power, then do a soft reset.

Who this is for: Owners of a Spacetalk Adventurer or Adventurer 2. Both watches use the same charging dock and connector.

Step 1: Clean the charging contacts

Dirt or debris on the charging contacts can prevent a proper connection. Check the four gold contacts on the back of the watch and on the charging dock. If the contacts are dirty, gently clean them with a dry cloth.

Step 2: Check the charging dock seating

Make sure the watch is properly seated on the charging dock and that the dock is not upside down. The four gold contacts on the dock must line up with the four gold contacts on the back of the watch.

Step 3: Check the USB power source

Check that the light on the charging dock is green when plugged in. If there is no light, the issue may be with the USB power source or cable. Try a different cable or plug. To check what each light colour means, see What do the charger lights mean on my Spacetalk Adventurer or Adventurer 2?

Step 4: Perform a soft reset

Hold down the power button on the back of the watch until it vibrates. The watch will shut down and restart automatically. Once restarted, place the watch back on the dock and check whether charging resumes.
