How does data gifting work
Did you know that you can gift your data to another Spacetalk mobile plan user?
Things you should know:
You can only gift data to and from Spacetalk handset plan, you cannot data gift with a wearables plan.
You can only gift up to 5GB in a single gift.
Data gifts can be made in 1GB increments only.
The recipient must be an active Spacetalk Mobile handset number. You can gift to someone in a different account.
For any given recharge, you can only gift up to 50% of your plan data (you can’t gift top up or rollover data).
All data gifts and transfers are final.
Please make sure you check and confirm all details prior to submitting a gift request.
How to gift data from your Spacetalk app
Follow the steps below in your Spacetalk app to data gift.
Step 1: Access your Spacetalk Mobile Membership via the app
Accessing your mobile account details is easy. Log into your Spacetalk app.
On the bottom, select Membership.
Step 2: Select the Plan you want to Gift Data from
You will see a list of your active plans on the page. Select the plan you would like to use to gift data to another.
Step 4: Choose Data Gifting
From the available options, choose ‘Gift my data’ you would like to do:
Step 5: Gift your Data
On the new page, you can select the amount you would like to gift and input the number you would like to gift it to. Once done, select Send Gift at the bottom of the page.
Please Note: Data can only be gifted between Spacetalk Mobile Handset plans, not Wearable plans.
Step 6: Done!
Once the gift has been finalised, the recipient should receive a confirmation SMS to let them know it has been successful.
How to Gift Data from you Web App
You can also gift data between Spacetalk Mobile services from the web app.
Step 1: Log into your Spacetalk Web App
You can log into your Spacetalk Web App via our website: https://app.spacetalk.co/
To view your Spacetalk Mobile services, click 'View All' under your SIM Plans.
Step 2: Select the Plan
Select from the list of active Spacetalk Mobile services the plan you wish to gift data from.
Step 3: Select Gift Data
On the new page you’ll be able to view your Spacetalk Mobile service and all available actions on your account. To Gift Data, select Gift My Data under the Actions menu.
Step 4: Gift your Data
Here, you can select the amount your would like to gift and input the number you would like to gift it to. Once done, select Send Gift at the bottom of the page.
