Why am I still being charged after cancelling my Spacetalk Mobile service?

Common reasons why charges continue after cancelling a Spacetalk Mobile service, and how to stop them.

Unexpected charges after cancelling a Spacetalk Mobile service are almost always caused by one of the following.

The cancellation was not completed properly

All Spacetalk Mobile plans are on auto-renewal. Simply stopping using the service does not cancel it — you must cancel it explicitly through the Spacetalk App.

The charges are from a third-party provider

If your watch uses a non-Spacetalk SIM, your SIM provider will continue to charge until you cancel directly with them. Check your bank statement to confirm whether the charges are from Spacetalk, Apple, Google, or another mobile provider.

  • Charges from Spacetalk: Cancel via the Spacetalk App.

  • Charges from Apple or Google: Cancel via the App Store or Google Play. See How do I cancel my Spacetalk App subscription?.

  • Charges from another mobile provider: Contact that provider directly.

You cancelled during an active billing cycle

When you cancel, the service stays active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again after that, but one final charge may appear if your renewal date fell before the cancellation was processed.

Frequently asked questions

Why was I charged after I thought my service was disconnected? Charges persist if auto-renewal was not explicitly cancelled in the Spacetalk App. Make sure you have completed the full cancellation process.

How do I stop charges from a provider other than Spacetalk? Contact that billing provider directly — those fees are outside Spacetalk's control.

Note: Always cross-check your bank or credit card statement to confirm the source of any unexpected charge before contacting Support. If you need supporting documentation from Spacetalk for a dispute, contact our Support team via live chat.
