How do I set up and use Routes in the Spacetalk App?

How to create a Route to monitor a Space member along a regular journey in the Spacetalk App.

Routes let you monitor a Space member along a regular journey — such as the walk to school or a commute to work. You receive an alert when they start their journey, you can track their location in real time, and you are notified if they stray from the expected path.

How to create a Route

Step 1: Tap the blue + button

Open the Spacetalk App and tap the blue + button in the bottom right corner, then tap Add Route from the menu.

Step 2: Set the start and end points

In the Search address box, type the start point and tap it to select. Repeat to set the end point.

Step 3: Choose the transport method

Select the mode of transport — for example, walking or cycling — by tapping the relevant icon. Then tap Setup Route.

Step 4: Configure route settings

Adjust the Deviation Allowance slider to set how far from the path a member can travel before you receive an alert. A visual preview of the deviation zone appears on the map above.

Step 5: Name your Route

Enter a name in the Route Name text box. You can include emojis.
