The chat feature allows you to send messages to other members of your Space, using your phone’s mobile data or Wi-Fi. You can send messages members separately, or create group chats to keep multiple in touch at the same time.

Log into your Spacetalk app and once done, select the Chat button at the bottom of the screen.

Here you can view, search for and create your own chats with different members of your Space.

To create a new chat, tap the speech bubble icon in the top right corner.

If you have an exiting chat you’d like to continue, simply press on the conversation which will cause it to open.

If you have a previous chat you’d like to look for, press on the search bar at the top of the page and type what you’re looking for.

Once you’ve pressed on the speech bubble icon in the top right corner, you’ll be prompted to add the members of the chat you want to create – you can select one or multiple members from the list provided. Reminder, you will only be able to chat with people who are added to your Space.

Once you’ve selected every member, press the arrow icon next to the names you’ve selected.

Once the chat has been created, you have multiple ways you can send a message. You can press on the text box at the bottom of the page to type a message, which will automatically cause your keyboard to appear. When you’re ready to send, press the blue arrow button within the text box.

You will also see 3 icons to the right of the text box which will allow you to send pictures and voice messages. Select the camera to take and send a photo, or the album icon to send a picture from the photo album on your phone.

Once the images are selected, they’ll attach to your message and send when you press the blue arrow button.

To send a voice message, press the small microphone icon.

You’ll then be able to record your message and press the stop icon when you’re ready to send it.

To send the voice message to the group, press the blue arrow.

To view the settings of a chat, simply select the chat you would like to view and press the 3 dots in the top right corner.

Here, you’ll be able to change the chat name, edit the members of the chat and leave the chat if you no longer wish to receive messages.

Open the chat you wish to add more members to, select the 3 dots in the top right corner and select Chat Members.

Here you’ll be able to view the members of the chat, as well as add additional members by pressing the plus icon in the top right corner.

Once you’ve added the additional members, simply press the arrow button next to the names you’ve selected at the top of the screen.

If you would like to remove, block or make changes to a user in your chat, you can do so by following the above steps to view the members of your selected chat.

Press on the member you’d like to edit, this will bring up your options menu.

In this new menu you can make the member an admin of the chat, block them or remove them from the chat.

Select Block User, and you’ll be shown the below screen.

If you wish to proceed, tick the required box and select Block User to confirm.

If you don’t have permission to block the user, you can send a message to the admin of your Space who will be able to complete this action for you.

Select Remove from Chat

Once you’ve read the conditions and would like to proceed, press Remove User to complete.
