Set up Places for alerts when Space members arrive at or leave spots like home or school. In the Spacetalk App, tap the blue + button, then Add Place.
Who this is for: Space admins in the Spacetalk App. Adding Places is one of the things a Space admin can do for their Space.
Your trusted contacts get alerts too, and you can add as many Places as you need.
How do I create a Place in the Spacetalk App?
Open the Spacetalk App and tap the blue + button in the bottom right corner.
From the menu that appears, tap Add Place.
You can select from a list of suggested Places, or tap Add a Place to create your own.
Set the location for your Place by dragging the map to your desired spot and tapping to place the pin, or by typing the address manually in the Place address text box.
Then set the radius — the larger the radius, the wider the area the Place covers. For example, for a school you could set the radius to cover the full campus.
Give your Place a name in the text box. You can also tap the house icon on the left to select a custom icon from the menu.
Choose which members you want to receive arrival and departure notifications for. Tap the toggle at the top to notify everyone, or set arrive and leave notifications independently for each member.
Tap Add notification to create a time-based notification for this Place. Select a time, the days of the week, and a custom title, then tap Done to save.
Note: Time-specific notifications are useful for regular trips — for example, to be notified if your child has not arrived at school by a certain time.
Tap Save Place. You can edit your Places at any time.
How do I delete a Place in the Spacetalk App?
To delete an existing Place, swipe left on the Place in the list — a bin icon will appear.
