How do I access Spacetalk through Optus SubHub?

How to activate your Spacetalk App subscription through Optus SubHub if you purchased your watch through Optus.

If you bought your Spacetalk watch through Optus, your Spacetalk App subscription is managed through Optus SubHub. If you are seeing a message that your app access is restricted, it usually means your SubHub subscription has not been activated yet, or your Spacetalk App and Optus accounts are using different email addresses.

Before you start

Have the following ready:

  1. Your Optus My Account login details — the same login you use for your Optus bill.

  2. The email address you used, or want to use, for your Spacetalk App account.

Important: You must use the same email address for both your Optus SubHub account and your Spacetalk App account. If the email addresses do not match, SubHub cannot link the subscription to your app and access will remain restricted.

Troubleshooting

I activated in SubHub but the app still says my access is restricted. Give it a few minutes — activation can take a short while to appear in the app. Fully close and reopen the Spacetalk App. If access is still restricted after 15 minutes, the most likely cause is an email address mismatch — see the step below.

My Spacetalk App uses a different email address than my Optus account. SubHub links your subscription using your email address, so both accounts must match. Check which email is on your Spacetalk App account (in the app under your profile) and which email is on your Optus account. Update one so they match, then reactivate in SubHub.

Will activating this cost me anything? No. The Spacetalk App subscription is included in your Optus watch plan at no extra charge.

If you have checked that your email addresses match and activated in SubHub but access is still restricted, contact our Support team via live chat.
