How do I replace my SIM card? (Australia)

How to replace a lost, damaged, or faulty SIM card for your Spacetalk Mobile plan in the Spacetalk App.

If your SIM card has been lost, damaged, or is faulty, you can replace it through the Spacetalk App. Your existing number and plan stay the same — only the physical SIM changes.

How to replace your SIM

Step 1: Open Membership

Open the Spacetalk App and tap Membership at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Select your plan

Under Your SIM Plans, tap the plan you want to replace the SIM for.

Step 3: Choose Replace SIM

From the available options, tap Replace SIM.

Step 4: Review the steps and continue

You will see a summary of what is involved. If you are replacing with a physical SIM, have the new SIM card ready. Tap Continue when ready.

Step 5: Choose your SIM type

Choose between Physical SIM or eSIM:

  • Physical SIM — enter the SIM serial number printed on the SIM card (it typically starts with 4000), then tap Continue.

  • eSIM — confirm your device is eSIM compatible by ticking the acknowledgement box, then tap Continue.

Step 6: Verify it is you

To prevent unauthorised SIM replacements, enter a verification code. Choose to receive it by SMS or email, then tap Send Code.

Step 7: Enter the code

Enter the verification code you received and tap Verify.

Step 8: Done

Your old SIM will be disconnected and your new SIM will become active with the same number and plan. We recommend restarting the device after inserting the new SIM so it reads it correctly.
