Location sharing lets you and your Space members see each other's location on the map. This article explains how to make sure location permissions are set correctly on your phone, and how often locations update.
Note: Location sharing is only between Space members you invite. You control who sees your location.
How to enable location sharing on your phone
Location permissions are set during account setup. If you missed the prompt, follow the steps below for your phone type.
Android
On your phone, open Settings > Apps > Spacetalk.
Tap Battery and select Unrestricted.
Tap Permissions > Location > Allow all the time.
Location updates every 30 seconds in the background. If Battery Saver is on, it updates every 3 minutes.
iPhone
On your phone, open Settings > Apps > Spacetalk > Location.
Select Always and enable Precise Location.
Location updates every 30 seconds or every 100 metres while moving.
